In 1977, at the height of their popularity — and just before it all came crashing down to earth — Lynyrd Skynyrd recorded the album “Street Survivors.”
It would feature the classic Southern rock songs “What’s Your Name?” “That Smell,” “I Know a Little,” and “You Got That Right,” released after tragedy struck the band.
With the passing of guitarist Gary Rossington earlier this year, drummer Artimus Pyle is the lone surviving member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band, which ruled the airwaves of the ’70s.
He is the “Street Survivor.”

“I am the last living member of the band. It’s not something that makes me feel good, but it is a fact I’m living with. I’m not going to change what I do,” Pyle said.
What he does is continue to bring classic southern rock to his fans.
