Maybe they’ll have Snoop Dog rap to Gimme Three Steps as a bonus track?

Maybe Dolly should open a Whore House in Texas So she can do the same thing there she did to Orlando? Screw everyone and take the money and run!
If she ran that place like she did her Orlando business, she would have everyone working for her while all the money went to her and she pays her employees peanuts while she makes millions. Same plan different place different people to screw. I get it.

It looks to me like closing the petting zoo/restaurant was a business decision back in 2008. The USA economy was on the cuff of the 2009 economy. Better to have sold in 08 than 09. Personnel gets unfortunately displaced every day. It is unfortunate but that's life. Dolly has given away Millions and Millions of Dollars of her money to charities around the world. I am OK with a recording artist that has sold 120,000,000 records around the world, "Paying Tribute" to "Ronnies Freebird". For Dolly Pardon to pay tribute to any song is a huge honor. I'm very sure Ronnie and Allen are sitting up there, drinkin a beer, and are tickled shytless that Dolly is paying tribute to Freebird. As is Gary and he took the opportunity to return the favor and play on the track with Dolly. That alone is huge. And BTW, just because my wife and I were invited out to LA to attend Dolly's RRHOF induction, as her guest, does not influence my comments.... LOL

I think it is wonderful that Gary contributed to the album Artimus and his band have been working on. Artimus has a very good band that plays the music the way it was played in the 70's. With the people participating in this tribute to Ronnie and his songs I cannot see Judy having a problem with it since she will be compensated.
The entire time Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede in Orlando was opened I never heard of it. In my opinion what she did was rotten. She should have at least been honest with her employees that she was going to sell the place. Who purchased the property? What became of it?
When I heard Dolly was recording "Free Bird" I thought it was for a rock album she was going to put out to show that was able to sing rock songs. So I was okay with her singing the song for her album. Dolly Parton has a distinctive singing voice. I will wait and see if it is right for this song.
Talk about the best Blondie song came up on a site the other day. Last night I went looking for her video performing David Bowie's "Heroes". I ran across videos of Paul Rodgers singing with Queen. So after listening to Debbie Harry I played a bunch of videos of Paul singing Freddie Mercury's songs. Plus him singing Del Shannon's "Runaway". This man can sing.
I understand how many country records Dolly sold and what a big deal it is for her to sing Skynyrd's "Free Bird". However, I really wish something was worked out to have Paul Rogers sing "Free Bird" on Artimus' tribute album and not Dolly. Skynyrd loved Free and Bad Company. Ronnie's boat was named Bad Company.

Why Paul Rogers? A limited Audience would ever hear it. In today's world, Paul Rogers is almost unknown. Paul Rogers can go do a Free Bird Tribute any day of the week. Jump up Big Fella and go record... When is the last time a Free song was heard on the radio? Blondie, and quite frankly, Bad Co? And Mercury has his special audience.. And Limited ! Every person mentioned above was great, in "their" moment. However, as great as the artist mentioned, were, they are not Icons. Gary and Dolly are Icons, of their own right, and in completely different spectrums of the music world.

Yes, I agree that Dolly Parton’s involvement will get this recording in front of a huge audience. Frankly, it’s outside the box and pretty brilliant. Based on what I know about Ronnie, he’s probably get a huge kick out of this. Allen too. I guess we’ll see what the general public thinks soon enough.

Do not get me wrong, but the only Dolly Parton song I know is the duet she sang with Burt Reynolds in the whore house flick and I think I remember a duet with her and the chicken man, not Colonel Sanders but Kenny Rodgers. Sorry I ain't a Dolly Fan. Would like to check out Dollywood Park.
Rooster that is the reason why to do Raiford, the Frynds at the Fox show a few years back I thought that FOUR WALLS was one of the few highlights of the show. Plus to get the cat that sat across from R V Z playing the Dobro would KILL! If Barnes will not sit with Jeff I think DVZ or Fat little Brother would sell it. Every Tribute Frynds of Skynyrd album has the same old songs Sat. Night Simple Man Free Bird Mr. Breeze. Deep Tracks is where it's at. Get Miss Dolly to sing Need All My Friends or GA Peaches would be a treat to me.
When I yell FREE BIRD in a crowded bar I want the LIVE AT THE FOX 76 FREE BIRD not a copy cat tribute. Like I said I will buy and give it an honest review. I hope I am 100% wrong and Miss Dolly Blows my socks off with it

I really hope they got Paul Rodgers to do a song. I always wondered what could have been with Rodgers and the RCB.

Dolly Parton gets $100 million from Jeff Bezos to spend on charity November 14, 202210:41 AM ET Bill Chappell Singer-songwriter Dolly Parton is the latest celebrity to receive a $100 million gift from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, to be used for charitable purposes. Parton is seen here at the recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Los Angeles. Valerie Macon/AFP via Getty Images Dolly Parton has famously used her success to help others, especially in areas of literacy and education. She just got a huge boost in those efforts: a $100 million gift from billionaire Jeff Bezos. "Did you say a hundred million?!" Parton said after Bezos announced the gift over the weekend. Parton can use the money to support any charitable cause she chooses, similar to the deal Bezos made last year when he gave $100 million each to humanitarian chef José Andrés and activist/pundit Van Jones. "I try to put my money where my heart is," Parton said of receiving the Courage and Civility award. "I will do my best to do good things with this money."
Dolly Parton @dollyparton · Follow I try to put my money where my heart is. I will do my best to do good things with this money ❤️ Thank you @jeffbezos #LaurenSanchez Jeff Bezos @jeffbezos We’ve just announced a new Courage and Civility award recipient — @dollyparton, who leads with her heart, and will put this $100 million award to great use helping so many people. She joins prior awardees, @vanjones68 and @chefjoseandres. Congrats, Dolly!
Parton's ongoing charitable projects include the Imagination Library, a popular literacy effort that is now closing in on sending its 200 millionth free book to young children in five countries.
After receiving last year's award, Andrés committed half of the money to seed the Climate Disaster Fund, amplifying its existing efforts to help communities cope with life-threatening conditions. His group also rushed to provide hot meals for Ukrainians after Russia's wide-scale invasion.
Unlike Andrés, Jones was not operating a global-scale charity when he was chosen for the Bezos award. In an update on his plans for the money earlier this year, Jones said that while he knows many nonprofits could sorely use part of the $100 million, he has assembled a team to look for strategies that could have long-lasting benefits for people in struggling Black, brown and poor communities.
"Fortunately, I can take time to be strategic and deliberate about this process," Jones said. "Bezos has given award recipients 10 years to disburse the funds."
Unlike last year's award, Bezos did not announce his largesse just after returning from space — a juxtaposition that immediately raised questions about his commitment to helping others.

Well let's see... Dolly you can now help the people you screwed over in Orlando when you sold your business out and land to developers for millions while putting over 300 employees out in the street. How about a $100,000.00 to each one of those people you screwed over? I bet they would appreciate it.
Oh, and how about a million for old Artimus? He's been through hell and back and deserves a little spending change since Gary and Judy done took it all. How about investing in the APB band?
And Rickey needs a new house... and we have some hurricane survivors who could use a helping hand.
Will be interesting to see how she spends the money.
