Ticketmaster Defends $4,500 Bruce Springsteen Pricing Martin Kielty Published: July 25, 2022 ultimateclassicrock.com/bruce-springsteen-ticket-price/Ticketmaster took the unusual step of releasing details of Bruce Springsteen sales after fans lashed out at the corporation’s “dynamic pricing” policy. When trading commenced for the Boss’s upcoming North American tour last week, “platinum” tickets were offered for over $4,500. The policy means that the top-priced tickets will retail at a different cost in each market. “Prices and formats are consistent with industry standards for top performers,” Ticketmaster said in a statement (via Variety), reporting that the policy was designed to lock out secondary sellers, resellers and pay artists and promoters more. According to the figures, only 11.2% of sales involved the “dynamic” tickets, with only 1.3% of those sold for over $1,000, while 56% were sold for under $200 including 18% for under $99. But Variety reported that “fans quickly figured out that the first ones to get through the queue each day were able to buy in the $60-400 range … only to have those immediately snapped up, leaving the more exorbitantly priced ducats — with values inflated as much as 10 times the original value — as what most would-be buyers see when they log in.” The “platinum” tickets appeared to have settled at around $2,000 instead of the initial higher price, presumably in response to demand slowing down after the initial excitement of sales started. Ticketmaster reported in its pricing policy documentation that “some events on our platform may have tickets that are ‘market-priced,’ so ticket and fee prices may adjust over time based on demand. This is similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold.” More Springsteen tickets go on sale this week. Neither he nor his management has responded to requests for comment.

Bruce Springsteen Fans Complain About Steep Ticketmaster Prices Ultimate Classic Rock Staff Published: July 21, 2022 ultimateclassicrock.com/bruce-springsteen-ticketmaster-prices/?influencer=hindsightBruce Springsteen fans are venting about extravagant ticket prices for the artist’s 2023 arena tour — targeting Ticketmaster’s "dynamic pricing" of "Official Platinum" seats, which have reportedly soared to thousands of dollars in select cases. The U.S. trek’s first six dates — Tampa, Orlando and Hollywood, Fla.,Tulsa, Okla., Denver and Boston — went on sale Wednesday, with the others set to follow over the next week. And fans were quick to voice their complaints about the towering price tags they encountered. As Variety notes, one widely circulated tweet originated from Springsteen magazine Backstreets, which posted a screenshot of a Ticketmaster page: "Tampa midfloor for $4,400 each, anyone?” (To be clear, that amount broke down to $3,819 plus $569.50 in fees.) Another user posted a screenshot regarding the same show, with the selected ticket priced at $4,309.30. "You can be confused and angry at TM, the secondary market, Bruce, capitalism, the state of the world, whatever, but it is the person willing to buy this ticket who really makes it possible to begin with," they wrote. "Don’t buy and the price wouldn't exist." While most fans have encountered exorbitant ticket prices on the resale market, these prices are notable, and perhaps ironic, due to their "official" status — an attempt to keep costs "closer to their true market value." "Official Platinum Seats were not purchased initially and then posted for resale; they are being sold for the first time through Ticketmaster," reads an FAQ on the company’s site. "Ticketmaster’s Official Platinum seat program enables market-based pricing (adjusting prices according to supply and demand) for live event tickets, similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold." Springsteen’s reps reportedly denied Variety’s request for comment, and Ticketmaster had not responded by the time of writing. However, E Street Band guitarist Stevie Van Zandt did acknowledge a fan’s Twitter complaint, writing, “I have nothing whatsoever to do with the price of tickets. Nothing. Nada. Niente. Bubkis. Dick.”

I guess I've lived too long. I don't see what the big deal is about Bruce Springsteen. I personally wouldn't walk across the street to see him for free.

This issue here is not only the real price they are commanding, but the trickery involved in the sliding scale being used is pure fraud.
People are going online to order their tickets costing around $200 each but when going to checkout now each ticket price is now around $600 each because of supply and demand they say and now those $200 tickets are in greater demand and so the price is now going up.
Sliding price scam in action here until the law puts an end to this fraud!

heard Springsteen in Boston at my daughter's dorm at M I T, the Boss was playing at the Red Socks Baseball Stadium right across the Charles River, It was my 1st night in Boston and she had a dinner party for me on the patio of the dorm with Springsteen blasting live for free! It was the 1st tour without the Big Man on the sax. Now just picture these egghead students straight laced professors other college big wigs and me.
I think I really made a good impression on these folks when I stood on the table singing Born In The USA dancing and holding a lit bic lighter over my head.

Ticket prices for London show (Hyde Park) Gbp£90.45. If you want the Villa Park show in Birmingham, UK Gbp£69.00 I looked at going to the Villa Park show. As well as the ticket would be nearly 200 mile drive and an overnight stay which would cost another Gbp£200 approx. Decided to give it a miss, download 2023 is only a few days before and I would rather go to that. I have never seen Bruce, so would have been interested.

Neets he's not behing totally honest. He was disturbing the peace wearing spandex and speedos singing porn in the USA until they threw him out. And the bic lighter thing was him trying to light the place on fire as they were dragging him out- by the speedos.

“Gotta Get A 2nd Mortgage…” Kid Rock Continues On His Rampage And Obliterates Bruce Springsteen After Fans Complain About Bruce’s Insane Ticket Price
Posted on July 27, 2022 by John Maddow
Disclaimer: This article may contain the personal views and opinions of the author. There have been a number of surprising and interesting bedfellows that Conservatives and Libertarians have shared lately. Salient among them are lifelong Liberal, Bill Maher. Mr. Maher never quite seems happier (or frankly, funnier) than when he is going after the cancel culture or criticizing the narcissistic forms in which fanatical transgender activism often takes. Now, Kid Rock, of all people, seems to be evolving more and more into something like a conservative icon. Honestly, any enemy of Joy Behar’s is a friend of mine. A tidal wave of outrage has recently washed over aging rocker Bruce Springsteen. The outrage reaches still further, to Ticketmaster. Thanks to Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing program”, tickets jumped up to a staggering $4,000. Fans are not happy and they’re sounding off on social media. It is being reported that one said, “Gotta get a 2nd mortgage to get a ticket.” Another said: “Waiting for the quote on selling my kidney to get nosebleed seats.” According to KHOU: “Ticket broker Kayla Ramsey with Midtown Premium Tickets said primary sellers like Ticketmaster and AXS are now doing exactly what ticket brokers do. “Many of these tickets are being priced on the primary market the same way scalpers price it on the secondary market, based on supply and demand,” said John Breyault, Vice President, Public Policy, Telecommunications, and Fraud for the National Consumers League. “That means prices can change from minute to minute. “Shoppers reported selecting $250 tickets only to see them climb to $700 by the time they checked out. Some tickets got up to $4,000 to $5,000,” KHOU reported. Kid Rock on the other hand, took the chance to showcase is skills of opportunism in conjunction with his business skills: “My tickets are cheap. That’s right.” “I don’t want to break you by coming to see me.” “I want to make as much money as I can, but I don’t need to drive around in a tinted down Rolls-Royce or Maybach and hide from people because I felt like I ripped them off.” “If you give people a fair price, I think they’ll feel better about spending their money.” “They might spend just as much because they don’t feel like someone is trying to get one over on them.” Kid Rock had more to say regarding the reservations of the first two rows. “They are not for sale,” Kid Rock said. “I’m tired of seeing the old rich guy in the front row with the hot girlfriend.” “And the hot girlfriend, you know, with her boobs hanging out, with her beer in the air, just screaming the whole time.” “The old rich guy is standing there like he couldn’t care less.” “It’s a very common theme at Kid Rock concerts,” he said. Kid Rock certainly seems to know what the best step is. He is trolling all of the right people. He has had a special place in this writer’s heart since, back in 2019, when he went off on alleged comedian Joy Behar. While I can’t say I endorse what he said, I do, perhaps idiosyncratically, endorse whom he said it to. Regardless, Kid Rock does indeed seem to be on a roll in terms of being embraced by a whole new generation of fans. Donald Trump even seems to be a fan. Why else would he have introduced Kid Rock as “one of the greatest entertainers”. It was during the Bad Reputation tour that Donald Trump was introduced over the loudspeaker as a special guest. That video which can found here, features the former President saying, “Hello everyone, I love you all, I know you’re having a great time at the Kid Rock concert tonight, quite frankly he’s amazing,” Trump said. “All of you in attendance are the true backbone of our country. Hardworking, God-fearing, Rock N’ Roll patriots”.

I'm curious...
In the pre-crash Skynyrd bands, which band members would have been on which side of this one?

Bruce Springsteen's manager defends steep ticket costs amid backlash: 'Fair price'
'We chose prices that are lower than some and on par with others,' Springsteen's manager said By Stephanie Giang-Paunon FOXBusiness
Fox News Flash top entertainment headlines 7/28 Fox News Flash top entertainment and celebrity headlines are here. Bruce Springsteen's manager, Jon Landau, is speaking up about record-high ticket prices for the musician’s 2023 tour. "In pricing tickets for this tour, we looked carefully at what our peers have been doing. We chose prices that are lower than some and on par with others," Landau said in a statement to The New York Times. "Regardless of the commentary about a modest number of tickets costing $1,000 or more, our true average ticket price has been in the mid-$200 range. I believe that in today’s environment, that is a fair price to see someone universally regarded as among the very greatest artists of his generation." His manager’s comments come on the heels of fans getting sticker shock last week when attempting to purchase concert tickets to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s highly anticipated 2023 tour. Fans were stunned by Springsteen’s tour costs, as seats skyrocketed to $4,000 due to Ticketmaster’s "dynamic pricing program," which raises prices based on demand. Ticketmaster addressed the pricing backlash to Fox News Digital. "Promoters and artist representatives set pricing strategy and price range parameters on all tickets, including dynamic and fixed price points. Ticketmaster has created analytical tools that use historical and real time data to help quantify supply and demand to determine prices," a spokesperson from Ticketmaster explained. "While people may have had a very different impression, overall 18% of Springsteen’s U.S. tour tickets sold for under $99, and only 1% of tickets sold for more than $1,000." Springsteen himself has not responded to the backlash from fans regarding the costly concert tickets. However, Steven Van Zandt, the E Street Band guitarist and "Sopranos" alum, took to Twitter to comment on the pricing. "I have nothing whatsoever to do with the price of tickets," Zandt tweeted last week. "Nothing. Nada. Niente. Bubkis..." Springsteen and the E Street Band are scheduled to go on tour in 2023, and tickets went on sale July 20. The Boss' U.S. tour begins Feb. 1 in Tampa, Florida, and ends at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on April 14. Springsteen is slated to perform in other major cities along the way, including Detroit, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

Total bullshit. How in the hell is $4500 for a ticket a fair price I can only wonder?
What is not fair is how their computer systems are rigged to steal money without accountability.
You go to buy a ticket and click on the buy now price of $200 and then go to checkout and now all of a sudden this same ticket is now $700?
This is highway robbery and fraud. And it should be illegal as hell.
If they are going to auction tickets then auction the tickets and let buyers make the decision how high they are willing to go. But for the ticket outlet to do this should be criminal.
And Bruce, commie bruce... I would not give two shits to hear your music.

I wonder how well Springsteen's tickets are selling now there is a recession.
Would Skynyrd's management try to do this for tickets of shows with Gary?

How can anyone justify spending more than $20 to go see a dam concert? I spent a career seeing them for free and getting paid for most of them. I'm not about to spend money like that to see and hear a live performance for 90 minutes. Crazy is too nice. Its insane!
