Hi everyone, just saw his website and damn he's playing in Palos Verdes, Ca. which is 5 miles from my place on Jan 19 wondering if anyone's seen him and if it's worth it!!!
Tix are 55-95.00 I think I'd have to pay 90-95 each though the place looks really small 1/2 sold as well but it's in the rich area of town and mostly an orchestra town! LOL...

APB is absolutely kick ass. Close your eyes at anytime during one of his shows and it's like 1976! His band is most excellent and the vocals are done right. Don't have to worry about guys like jvz constantly asking how the crowd is doing among other antics(Medlocke acting\ thinking he is Allen Collins). Sorry if that offends anyone. Just really want to say the truth, because the music is what it's all about!! God bless!

It is SOOOOOOO WORTH IT! I go hear him play every chance I get and I’ve never ever been disappointed! Definitely go!

From what I understand, he's always happy and willing to meet with the fans after the show and he'll sign stuff and pose for pics. You gotta love that about Arti! I hope that one day his band will come up to my neck of the wood.

He chatted with Adam and I quite a bit back in November and he and Adam even discuseed being in the military. He's one of the best out there when it comes to meeting with the fans and just being a super great guy. You'd think he was in his 20s with the energy he's got!

I really like APB, but as with most Skynyrd tribute type bands, the vocals leave a lot to be desired for me. So many people who sing Ronnie Van Zant’s songs seem to over-emphasize the “country” or “Southern-ness” of the vocals. I understand Ronnie was a southern guy but he simply had a wonderful voice. He could sing softly or push it and he got a great tone. Far too many people approach Skynyrd songs while utilizing a modern pop-country Nashville style vocal. Quite frankly, it comes across as corny to me. This might simply be the APB singer’s natural voice but it always comes off as something of a “put on” to me. There’s no need to make your voice sound country to sing Ronnie’s songs, just sing from the heart. This isn’t meant to take anything away from APB, they play the songs well and with respect! Just something I’ve noticed.

Went to St Rocke in 2013. I’m going to Ramona and Big Bear as I’m booked on the 19th.

Just something I’ve noticed. The singers have a natural 'twang', if you will, in their speaking voice so naturally it will come across in song as well. Scott is from Georgia, Brad from Alabama. Plus Brad has been a player on the country stages as well which factors in. It's in his background. It's a natural inflection.

Or you could pay $14 (incl. fees!) to see him at a honky-tonk bar in Vegas. Obviously it's more than 5 miles, but that Palos Verdes joint looks like those places where Charlie Daniels plays to senior citizens. David, I saw Artimus in 2017. The band is fantastic. There are recent videos on Youtube of the band. Seeing how Rossington was my most favorite guitar player of the times, I would say Arti's guitar player did a pretty damn good job. If anyone has ever saw Harwood play Rossington's solo's, Harwood is scary good on Rossingtons solos.

I’ve never gotten to hear Barry Lee play any of Gary’s specific parts but I’ll take your word on it. I liked what he did in the RCB.

Court, I am very seriously considering reaching out to Artie to do a live remote or a meet and greet at my business. Likely after it warms up. I even think I can get him a Gig in town that night or nights. As for Harwood playing Rossington's Skynyrd parts, he did so while playing with the ACB. About half of Allen's set was Skynyrd tunes. Cagey, do you have a tour date schedule for the ACB. I saw them in New Orleans in 83. After the show they were headed to Julington Creek Rd. I am not for sure they went back out after that show. Maybe yes maybe no !!! It would be interesting to find out I saw Allen last professional show, given history yadi yada.... The good news is that Arti is not too terribly far away and you are even closer. If we plan it right, we might hire your Officer Hubby for security?? LOL
ps. Sorry for the jumbled post. my wife is trying to talk to me about something interesting to her.LOL

Definitely keep me posted on that and let me know if I can help in any way or anything to that nature! I’d like to hear more from ACB, some of the stuff is harder to find and whatnot. I wish the project had taken off more due to the sheer fact it was Allen.....what coulda been 🤷🏻♀️
