Santana, 74, was surrounded by crew members and medical personnel after passing out on stage at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, according to pictures shared by WJBK-TV. Someone on stage reportedly asked the crowd to pray for the legendary Latin rock guitarist due to a “serious medical” issue. The “Smooth” artist was then taken off stage on a stretcher, and was seen waving to the crowd as crew members tried to block the transport with a black sheet, a clip posted to Twitter showed. Santana was overcome by heat exhaustion and dehydration, but was “doing well” later Tuesday night, a representative for the rocker told TMZ. He reportedly felt woozy and sat down in front of the drums early in his set, before collapsing backwards. Santana has performed 32 dates since March 25, according to his website. He reportedly took some time off the road after undergoing an “unscheduled heart procedure” in December, according to Variety.

The musician put out a statement on his Facebook page, thanking fans for their concern Tuesday night.
"to one and all thank you for your precious prayers Cindy and I we are good just taking it easy," he said, referring to wife Cindy Blackman. "forgot to eat and drink water so i dehydrated and passed out blessings and miracles to you all."
Santana passed out about 40 minutes into his set while performing "Joy," according to FOX 2. He apparently sat down on a riser and appeared to lose consciousness.

Thank God he didn't do a face plant, or worse, fall off the stage like Jimmy Buffett did. Anyway, I seem to remember a story about Artimus meeting Santana at some time before the plane crash.

Santana cancels 6 tour dates days after guitarist collapsed onstage from dehydration: 'Just needs rest'
The 74-year-old musician needs time to 'recuperate fully' after falling ill at a Michigan concert on Tuesday, his manager said
By Brie Stimson Days after legendary guitarist Carlos Santana collapsed onstage in Michigan due to dehydration, the band is postponing their next six shows out of an "abundance of caution." "Doctors have recommended that Mr. Santana gets rest to recuperate fully," Santana’s manager Michael Vrionis said in a statement Friday. The guitarist and his band Santana delayed a Friday night show in Noblesville, Indiana and upcoming shows in Cincinnati, Ohio; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Rogers, Arkansas; Dallas Texas; and Woodlands, Texas, will also need to be rescheduled, a release on his website said. "Carlos is doing well and is anxious to be back on stage soon. He just needs rest," Vrionis added. "Santana profoundly regrets … these postponements of his upcoming performances; but, his health is our number one concern. He is looking forward to seeing all of his fans very soon." The band, who is playing locations around the country for the "Miraculous Supernatural Tour" with Earth, Wind & Fire, also canceled a show last Wednesday. The 74-year-old was diagnosed with exhaustion and dehydration after he collapsed 40 minutes into a set at an outdoor theater in Clarkston, Michigan Tuesday evening. Santana collapses from heat exhaustion during Michigan concert Video The musician waved to fans as he was taken off the stage and hours later told people he was "good" and had just forgotten to eat and drink that day. His wife, Cindy Blackman, shared an update the next day, writing, "Please know that he’s resting and doing very well! He was diagnosed with heat exhaustion & dehydration … it was 100 degrees on stage and 114 under the lights so that coupled with not enough water is what caused the issue. He’ll be as good as new soon! Thank you again and we love you!" The postponed shows run through July 16. The new concert dates will be announced by Live Nation soon, the release said. All shows from July 23 in Paso Robles, California through the end of the year are still confirmed, the statement said.
