I like how Artie always mentions Bob Burns and keeps his memory alive. Most of the time he gets overlooked. That's the sign of a good guy who appreciates what was built before he got there, and of the friendship they later had.

Agree with Cagey. One of the best Artimus interviews ever. He seems relaxed, cool, and no Skynyrd Angst. Instead of goofy and angry, he is smart-funny-and cool. His current band is fantastic. Maybe it has helped him find some peace of mind? Well deserved.

I think Artimus realizes that he is now the patriarch of Skynyrd and band ambassador since Gary will not do it. Gary likes to run and hide and don't do interviews that much and never speaks up for anyone really. So as he fades away it looks like Artimus is stepping into that role of being the face and spokesperson for the original band. He's earned it as far as I am concerned.
