Pyledriver, both are good but I like the first one the best.

Pyledriver, both are good but I like the first one the best. I'd choose second, to me it is more original than the original cover, if that makes sense. The original original sounds terrible to me 🙄.

When I heard Johnny Winter’s version of Suzie Q, CCRs version of it instantly became unlistenable.

Which version Brandon? There are several to choose from! I love me some Johnny Winter... here is a classic case of how Johnny improved old songs...
Black blues/soul versions:
60's hippie psychedelic version:
And now for my favorite version of all time- Mr. Johnny Winter wins again! Kick ass! (Oh, with E.C.) Turn it up as loud as it will go! Hell yeah!

Johnny Winter gets my vote. One of the greatest off all of them.

I agree! The others didn’t even come close to Johnny’s version!

My favorite version of 'Hush' is the first video posted. I did not care for Deep Purple's "Original" version of the song. The vocals are much better in the first video posted.

Is 'I Don't Want No Woman' your favorite song Cagey?
Johnny Winters did a really nice job with the song. His version is my pick.

Like Child in time.

Is 'I Don't Want No Woman' your favorite song Cagey? The ultimate guy power song of all time! Yep, one of my favorites played as loud as possible at all times! You know it! Greg Martin of Kentucky Headhunters wrote another classic guy power song and then promptly ruined it with Bonnie Bramlett singing on it. I have the all guy demo version with original lyrics that is much, much, much better than the politically corrected version you can find on an album and on youtube. Shame Greg had to go and ruin it! And I got the proof! Here is the finished album version of this fantastic song ruined with the addition of Bonnie Bramlett, and below is the original demo version without the wailing witch as Allen Collins called her but with a b. Original all guy power song! Killer f'ing demo take here- download a copy of it and crank it up loud! This second version is clearly superior and staying true to its mission. HINT: Listen to and LEARN this original first as song was MEANT to be... listen carefully the lyrics sang in version below and then one day down the road go listen to the above screwed up version and it is oh so clear where it took a wrong left turn. Takin' Back My Name! And its a cryin shame! www.4shared.com/music/yEXdTj8m/11_Taking_Back_My_Name.html

I listened to "Takin' Back My Name". The Mighty Jeremiahs are good. I did not care for Bonnie Bramlett on the song.

When an artist creates a thematic song like these which are guy empowerment songs the last thing to do is put the object of the theme on there changing the lyrics! Fer shame! What was Greg Martin and Jimmy Hall thinking? The original is true to the theme and worthy of the defining character!

Deep Purple? or Deep Purple? Both the original version with Captain Beyond's Rod Evans and the remake with Ian are great! There's also this rockin' version of the song, though:

The vocals on Don Baird's version of 'Hush' I like. The music arrangement I do not care for.

As I was checking out who else recorded 'Hush' I discovered the song was introduced to a new audience. This might be how to ruin a song.

Here is David Cassidy's version. David Cassidy wanted to perform rock songs not pop songs of The Partridge Family when he was filming his TV show.
