Time will tell...Vector/Gary/Judy have the musical rights on lockdown...I hope for Artis' sake it does well...I know my friend Neal Byrnes should be good as Tyler...still doubt we will ever have the whole truth...unless someone on their deathbed spouts the truth......

If we heard the truth, would we even know it?

So is it that the "powers that be" don't want to help Artimus's project under any circumstance? Or is it that they feel it could be a competition for the upcoming CMT thing revolving round Gary? Are they afraid of what might come out and are doing everything in their power to de-legitimize it? Hard to imagine not being able to use footage that you are actually in ( as in Artimus's case)
I know nothing about music rights and permissions needed to use etc. I do know that the film documentary, Lynyrd Skynyrd-"Gone with the Wind", didn't seem to have any trouble having the band's music played throughout the show. And though not a theater film, it still was (and is) for sale to make money. I know this, as I paid for it. It did not include Gary or Judy in the film, yet music was allowed. Wonder what the difference in their minds is?

If we heard the truth, would we even know it? True dat, very true. We've heard so many conflicting stories, from the very believable to the completely preposterous with everything in between, and sometimes coming from the same source, that we wouldn't know the truth if it bit us in the ass. I've gotten to the point where I now believe that everyone is engaging in a healthy dose of revisionism, and the only thing I'm perfectly willing to believe is that "everyone was praying". And I don't even know who said that! So is it that the "powers that be" don't want to help Artimus's project under any circumstance? Or is it that they feel it could be a competition for the upcoming CMT thing revolving round Gary? Are they afraid of what might come out and are doing everything in their power to de-legitimize it? Hard to imagine not being able to use footage that you are actually in ( as in Artimus's case) I'd say a bit of both. It's no secret that Arti and Gary don't exactly like each other and haven't for a long time now. Also, two projects about the same rock band could easily end up splitting the audience's $$$ between the two projects. Die-hard fans will no doubt want to see both, but casual fans and simple movie-goers may well not feel that way.

Production does take time. Book is out in October..film could be later..release date for Garys is 2018, and they began filming before Arti....I do believe on board it was quiet with people praying until all hell broke loose. To recognize the truth, we would have to believe things that are so over the top, we couldnt fathom it...there you go!

I don't think it's a matter of splitting fan's money, since the CMT movie will be on their network. No one will have to pay to see this one ( Gary's on CMT ). So the money being spent by fans will be the Artimus movie once it hits theaters.

That's actually pretty good, if you ask me. Anyone located outside of the United States won't be able to watch this. One of those dumb geographical blocks. Using a VPN will allow you to watch it, of course. If you use the Opera VPN, just be aware that the browser has changed the way the plugin is used. I recently wrote a step-by-step how-to for downloading and using the VPN. It is now obsolete. I will write a new one shortly and will link to it in this and other threads

It wasn't very kind to Gary and the current band either.
