So is it suggested that Artimus can afford to roll around in a Provost? Or was that just a great backdrop?

One of his bandmates wheels and deals in that stuff. Either way, he deserves to ride across America in a modest degree of comfort.

Here's a photo with a ridiculous story. This is Artimus and friends heading to Orlando to record the Alias album. Whoever couldn't fit in the Jeep rode in the boat it was towing...

Whoever couldn't fit in the Jeep rode in the boat it was towing... LOL!!! Why didn't someone just drive a second car? Since I'm here, here's another Arti photo, courtesy of the Rooted in Skynyrd Facebook group.

That is a great shot of Artimus drums! And do not touch that seat! I've told this story before... but one day while Artimus was living at Allen's Jacobs Ave studio, Artimus had his drums set up inside the studio there and one day I decided I wanted to play Artimus drums. He was not in the studio at the time. I was all alone in there. So without thinking about what I was doing, I walked behind Artimus drums and sat down on his stool and began playing. And I suppose Artimus heard me banging on his drums because he soon walked into the studio and said nothing at first and sat down and was just listening to me. Well, you know, I kind of felt uncomfortable on his stool and thought it was too high, so again without thinking, I spun it around to lower the height of it for me. And, I made a second mistake of moving the placement of the drum seat since my arms are shorter than his spidery arms are. I moved the seat in closer to the drum set so I could reach the upper toms. Again, Artimus was just sitting there watching quietly sipping on a beer as I recall. He waited until I had given and walked away from his drums leaving the seat where I had adjusted it. And as I approached Artimus sitting there, it was then he launched into a critical lecture tell me how he makes his living behind those drums and that normally he does not let other people play his drums unless he gives specific permission to do so to qualified people, and that he spends hours and hours behind those drums setting all the adjustments of each instrument and even the seat to precisely where he wanted it to be. In other words I had crossed a line with him. Fortunately for me it was an in the studio line I had crossed and not such a big deal and a good learning curve experience for me, and one he could quickly rectify without live performance pressure on him to reset everything back to where he wanted it to be. But let's just say after that I had learned my lesson. Do not under any circumstances touch his drums after he has them all set up for his playing purposes. And under no circumstances am I ever to change the seat height adjustment nor where it is placed. I can see now that I got off easy because it was a relaxed studio environment and Artimus had all the time in the world to spend re-adjusting his seat to where he wanted it. But had I done something like this before a live performance on a stage somewhere, I could have gotten the full tilt marine version of the fly off the handle lecture. lol But since it was just he and I in there that day he was totally cool about it. And honestly I think he kind of liked going through his process for drum set adjusting. And it took him no time at all to put it back where he wanted it. And let's just say I never re-adjusted his drum seat again. I did get to sit back there and play them from time to time in the studio when no one was around, but I was very careful to not change anything and make sure it was as I found even to the precise placement of the drum sticks. But anyways, that is what this cool photo of his RRHF drum seat reminded me of today. The day I crossed the line with a marine and his drums. Glad I got the fatherly cool lecture that day... it only took me once I can tell you that.
