Artimus had horrible legal representation during the child perv case. Being that Arti plead guilty, The Governor cannot pardon him, or otherwise make the matter go away. I do not believe that Arti can withdraw his guilty plea, at this point, under Florida Law. What a sad situation. He could get a pardon couldn’t he, but would be saddled with the “guilt” factor. He wouldn’t have any liability or obligations legally related to it but he can’t go in and claim innocence and get it tossed at the governor level. Now, my legal education came from Perry Mason books and the tv show so take this with salt.

I hear all of you. How Arti's lawyer did not see the crack head for wat she was, is amazing. How could a very expensive, well funded, defence lawyer not see opportunity to tear this witness to pieces and do it quickly???

This child perv event ruined Artimus. Without all of this B/S to deal with, Art may have lasted years longer with the TTB. Note to self: Don't spend all your damn money. Save some for a rainy rock star day... Hell, Artimus borrowed money from Johnny and Gary to fund this defense. So Artimus can't afford a better lawyer than this chicken shyt, he hired. It is this simple. Artimus had a punk lawyer. This B/S case should have lasted 24 hours and been dropped.

At one time Joe Biden was the chair of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. In 1994 he worked on a bill concerning violence against women. September 1994 President Clinton signed The Violence Against Women Act of 1994. This act was supposed to end domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking. It was supposed to protect people like Nicole Brown Simpson who was murdered by her ex-husband OJ Simpson. Actress Rebecca Schaeffer from 'My Sister Sam' was murdered by a stalker. Playmate Dorothy Stratten was murdered by her ex boyfriend because she left him. Many times if a women was being beaten the police did not want to get involved. The office on Violence Against Women was established in the Department of Justice. Biden has said, "I consider the Violence Against Women Act the single most significant legislation that I've crafted during my 35-year tenure in the Senate." web.archive.org/web/20080822144642/http://biden.senate.gov/issues/issue/?id=975b0cf4-ce25-42cc-b63d-072fb81e8618Unfortunately, there are many women like the ones Cagey and Artimus were involved with who try to take advantage of the system meant to help those who truly needed it. I am sorry what you went through Cagey. You did not deserve it. Nor did Artimus. Women can be very nasty even to each other. They play what I refer to as high school games. It is a game I don't play. The TV "Survivor" has had one women alliance almost make it to the end but only the only guy won that season. Every summer the TV show "Big Brother" talks about having a female alliance. Due to cattiness it's not going to happen.

What tier is Artimus registered as in NC? Does FL require former residents to still register in FL?

You asked this question once before and I thought it was answered. We do not know about registration tiers. You need to check with the state of North Carolina for your answers. None of us have that information and I doubt if anyone here cares about it either. Some of us love Artimus and KNOW he was framed and setup and so some of us do not care about his false charges or requirements of the settlement plea agreement. Don't care. It is ignored because it is not legitimate to some of us.
As for Florida, Artimus has no dealings with Florida at this time. He is transferred to North Carolina for his registration requirements. But, if Artimus travels to Florida to work, not sure about vacations, but to work, he has to declare himself and residency locations as far as I know, but I could be wrong about this. He will have do so for the rest of his life as far as I know.
For definitive answers to these questions you should not direct them to any of the members of this forum. You should seek your answers to these questions from the law book statutes of Florida and North Carolina. I think it is a safe bet to say we don't know for sure.

Good. Now maybe he can get it squashed so he and his fans can move on from this fraud perpetrated on him.

He’s tier 1 in North Carolina. I couldn’t find anything on the Florida law about former residents. Next year in California, ex-offenders of tiers 1 and 2 won’t have to register anymore if the period of registration expired. It’s over 10 years past Tom’s sentence. It looks like he doesn’t have to register in NC anymore because it started in 2007.

It looks like he doesn’t have to register in NC anymore because it started in 2007. Because he moved there then? His charges and original sentencing was back in like what? 1992? 1993? That is almost 30 years. A lot longer than 10.

If I recall, I believe the judge dropped the requirement that Artimus must register as a ped offender.
